Gipsy Tonic ("we", "us") is a band based in Lausanne, Switzerland. This page explains what personal data we collect on gipsytonic.com and how we use it. Questions? Write to booking@gipsytonic.com.

1. What we collect

  • Messages you send us. If you email us (booking or otherwise), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply to you.

  • Orders. If you buy something from us (album, merch, tickets), we collect your name, email, shipping and billing address, and order details so we can fulfil the order. Payments are processed by our payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal); we never see or store your full card details.

  • Newsletter and emails. If you subscribe to our mailing list or leave items in a cart, we may send you emails about our music, concerts, or your order. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

  • Website usage data. Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which collects anonymous analytics (pages visited, device type, approximate location) and uses cookies to make the site work.

  • Embedded content. Our videos are hosted on YouTube. When you play one, Google may set cookies and collect data according to its own privacy policy.

2. Why we use it

To answer your messages, deliver your orders, send emails you've asked for, understand how the site is used, and comply with legal obligations (such as accounting).

3. Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run the site and business: Squarespace (website, shop, emails), our payment providers, and shipping carriers. We do not sell your data. Some of these providers are based outside Switzerland and the EU (notably the United States) and handle data under their own safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

4. How long we keep it

Messages and mailing list data: until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe. Order data: as long as legally required for accounting purposes (generally up to 10 years in Switzerland).

5. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to restrict how we use it. Email us at booking@gipsytonic.com and we'll respond as soon as we can.

6. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, plus analytics and embedded-video cookies described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
